"A culinary heirloom to be passed down down through the generations."
This is the first cast iron skillet crafted entirely in the U.S. in over fifty years. Starting with a blank slate, a small group of perfectionists in Portland, Oregon considered each element of skillet design and improved it considerably. The surface is machined to create a smooth and easy release cooking surface. The handle is comprised of a polished stainless steel spring coil for a cool grip that comfortably fits the natural contours of your hand. A small lip handle was placed at the edge of the pan to allow for easy carrying and positioning. The octagon shape provides six pouring angles and makes it easier to slide a spatula under your food. This skillet will only improve with age and is built to be handed down through the generations. Pre-seasoned with organic flaxseed oil. Oven safe up to 500 degrees.
